Photography

Level 3 Pathway

Full Details

Quick Summary

Pick the Photography pathway if you want to develop technical skills with your camera – but also if you want the chance to develop a creative visual language of your own by experimenting and creating engaging practical work.
Our professional partners on this pathway will include photographers and artists who will share their experience from the industry to help students appreciate ‘real life’ in the creative sector.
Photography is a Level 3 Pathway so you study this in Sixth Form and you’d get a whole day each week to become absorbed in workshops and projects.
For local links in this Pathway, we’ll visit and record exhibitions and visit sites for photoshoots, as well as putting on exhibitions at relevant venues, as well as at both QEStudio and QES.
Plus points for Photography include the fact that your learning will take place in state-of-the-art facilities with access to creative editing and lighting equipment.
In terms of future directions, this qualification will give you the technical and creative skills to help you progress into areas such as fashion, scientific or commercial photography or work as a freelance or a photo-journalist.
