Our Aim at QEStudio

QEStudio aims to help our students at 14-19 to become the creative professionals who can fill the jobs in our local economy and so keep our rural community healthy and thriving.

Our aim is to develop students as independent minded, creative thinkers and to provide students with the professional skills to take into the workplace
QEStudio reflects our local economy by offering specialist ‘Pathways’ into employment or higher education, with close links with Professional Partners
QEStudio has a key role to play at the heart of a rural area that relies on young people to keep our villages and towns healthy and thriving into the future

Best of 'Both Worlds'

Our students get the best of ‘both worlds’ by having two schools that share the same site and the same ‘outstanding’ values: QEStudio can offer ‘technical’ qualifications while QES continues to offer traditional ‘academic’ qualifications.

Working with Professional Partners

QEStudio’s whole approach is about delivering technical learning with professional partners, such as local businesses and community groups, to add expertise alongside our staff in each Specialist Pathway.

Future Options for Students

Our ultimate goal for all our students is to boost them onto their chosen route as school leavers, whether it’s into apprenticeships, employment or further & higher education – all future options are open!

Building for the future!

We’re busy building new facilities for QEStudio, starting with a new base for the Sports Pathway  that will open this Autumn, and followed by the start of construction on what will be a new ‘home’ for QEStudio.

Making it happen behind the scenes

To make all this happen,  we’ve had to make some organisational changes behind the scenes to allow us to open QEStudio and attract extra funding to benefit all our students. So officially speaking, we are now a ‘family’ of schools with a new ‘parent’ body called Lunesdale Learning Trust.
